Nearly everyone goes to school to get a basic education, but almost no one leaves school prepared for real life.

After hearing from educators that their students could not see themselves in their learning materials and after receiving requests from parents for innovative yet practical tools to supplement what is not taught in the classroom, it was clear that a melanated, engaging, hands-on curriculum needed to be created.
